UIL, a major partner of the International Council and of the World Assembly

UNESCO

The UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) is the center of expertise responsible for education issues, including adult education. UIL's main fields of action are in research, training, information, documentation and publication. UIL provides technical assistance to different countries through the production of various practical tools. Not only is UIL financially supporting the World Assembly, but several members of the organization will be present.

UIL is a partner of the World Assembly and the International Council for Adult Education. The contribution of UIL to this event is twofold. First, UIL is contributing to the costs of the presence of participants from the South. As well, UIL will hold workshops on different topics, including Learning Cities, the ALADIN documentation network and Education for Sustainable Development.

Furthermore, a representative of UIL will participate in a workshop on Education for Global Citizenship. The delegation of UIL to the World Assembly will include the UIL Director, Arne Carlsen.
